Join us for a free cinema night in the studio where we will be showcasing The Ubuntu Project.
The Ubuntu Project is inspired by an African Philosophy; Ubuntu, which means “I am who I am because of who we all are”. The Ubuntu concept refers to the fact that regardless of our background, we are all part of the same human race, all inextricably linked in some way.
The Ubuntu Project aims to collect and share stories from people across the globe; stories that may not usually get told, from people who may not usually be heard. Since December 2013, the Ubuntu team have travelled through Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe and are soon heading on to the Americas; meeting and connecting with different people, hearing about their life and asking them the same set of questions relating to who they are, what they’ve experienced, what inspires them, what they’re passionate about etc?
The purpose? To celebrate our difference and highlight our shared humanity.
Through sharing stories, we can LEARN, APPRECIATE, CONNECT AND CARE more about people living in our global community.
