Lauren Kite

As an Emergency Nurse Educator Lauren sees first hand the benefit of keeping happy and healthy in body and mind. After feeling the need to dive deeper into her own yoga practice Lauren completed her 200 hour Level Yoga Teacher Training with Power Living Australia. Lauren has also completed pre and postnatal yoga training through Bliss Baby Yoga.

Lauren practices and teaches Vinyasa Yoga as it focuses on connecting breath, body and mind and allows us to alleviate the stress of the modern world. In Lauren’s classes you will cultivate strength, flexibility and balance in a safe and fun environment.

Yoga is an excellent medium to cultivate a culture of self-care within a community. Lauren has a passion for self-care and mindfulness and wants her students to feel a sense of community when they practice her classes.

What turns you on about yoga? 
The way you feel without fail after a lovely yoga practice. The smile yoga puts on your face and the community it creates.

Torquay Cafe:
Café Moby, I like to sit out the front and look at the ocean across the road.

Movie and/or Book:
I have read some gems lately. The Anchoress, The Light Between Oceans, The Eye of the Sheep. My favourite movie I have seen recently – ‘The Hunt for the Wilderpeople’, I laughed so much and it took me back to my Kiwi roots. 

Ice-Cream Flavour: 
Boysenberry mmmm
