Jeff entered the yoga world from an athletics background. Having played basketball and football throughout his teenage years, the need to move, channel energy and be part of a community has always been a big part of who he is. Yoga fit all of the above needs and became a daily practice once his athletic career finished. Yoga gave Jeff the ability to move in a way that fluid and energizing yet graceful and tranquil and developed into a means of understanding life's challenges, dealing with people and connecting intimately with himself.
Hailing from Montreal, Canada, Jeff has jumped right into Melbourne's yoga scene since arriving in September 2015. He believes in combing thoughtful vinyasa sequencing that caters to all levels of students. Off the mat, Jeff is an avid cyclist, a shameless foodie, has a killer laugh and is known to spontaneously bust a move.
A few of my favourite things are:
What turns you on about yoga?
The sanctuary that the four corners of my mat provides, being part of the wonderful yoga community and the freedom from the restrictions of footwear.
South Melb Café:
Dead Man Espresso! What up Seafood Scramble?!
Movie and/or Book:
Film has gotta be The Big Lebowski (the Dude abides!!) and book is Jack Kerouac's, "On the Road."
No brainer, cookies and cream!! Although Messina's Poached Fig in Marsala Wine is making a serious push.
None other than the sage-like llama. Alright, maybe not sage-like but they're so slobbery that how can't you find them adorable?
Cooking for sure! Kind of like teaching in the sense that it gives me a creative outlet and kind of like yoga in the sense that it brings people together.
This guy can pack in some food! In a friendly chicken wing eating competition among friends, I once put down 115 wings. Impressed? You shouldn't be. Be disgusted instead.
