Amy Coghlan

Amy began her teacher training at 18 years old and has been teaching since she was 20. Influenced by Hatha, Power, Vinyasa and Anusara yoga, Amy has had so many opportunities to study with really incredible teachers both in Australia and overseas. Her own background is classical ballet, and previously a personal trainer and weightlifting coach, Amy now focuses on teaching yoga full time across Melbourne

What turns you on about yoga?
Of course the embodiment, awareness and connection in yoga totally light me up, but what really turns me on is if you can do yoga without even stepping onto the yoga mat. You can do yoga without ever doing asana, it’s about being a really good human being.

Any vegan ice-cream, I am pretty open to whatever I can get my hands on.
