General Manager Victoria
Alice began her yoga journey in June 2011 in this very space when it was first Union Yoga. She first came to yoga as a way of giving something to herself, having jumped straight from university to a demanding job in the retail world. It was love at first Savasana and it wasn’t long before she became a regular at the studio and began helping out as a Karmi Yog (the highlight of her entire week!)
2014 was THE year. Whilst continuing to work full-time, she completed her 200hr Teacher Training with Power Living as well as Level 1 and 2 Yin Yoga Trainings with Jennifer Crescenzo. Later that year she took the leap, said good-bye to the corporate retail world and joined the studio as the Assistant Studio Manager. The rest is history!
In her classes, Alice invites the same exploration and curiosity she enjoys in her own practice. She encourages her students to let go of everything (especially thinking) and express their physical practice in the movement from the heart.
She loves coming to work every day to serve and inspire (and be inspired by) the very special yogis that make up the Yoke Yoga community!
A few of my favourite things are:
What turns you on about yoga?
Really not having to think about anything or anyone else. I get myself lost so that I can find myself again.
South Melb Café:
All our friendly neighbours; Freestyle Espresso, Café Sweethearts and Giddiup!
Movie and/or Book:
Too big a book and film nerd to pick just one!
Cookies and Cream – always
Reading, Films, Food, Sleep
I can recite the entire script of the film ‘The Mummy’ – not sure if that should be considered a talent though…
